we went to Williamsburg in May, 2010 and then to Jamestown and Yorktown in May,2011. I agree they were the best field trip/vacation times we've had! Wish we could have gone together. And in 2012, we WILL find a way to get together again. We would love to see you guys!

Thanks for stopping by. I'm so glad the post was helpful. We stayed at the Hampton Inn on Capitol Landing Rd. and it was about a 5 minute drive (if even that) to the historic area of Williamsburg. It had an indoor pool, which we used each night, and a wonderful full breakfast. I felt the price was reasonable. There are many hotels and restaurants in the area. Feel free to email me, and I can give you a few more suggestions. :)
It's a great family trip, and I highly recommend visiting during the homeschool experience dates.
