Blooms

Daffadowndilly

She wore her yellow sun-bonnet,
She wore her greenest gown;
She turned to the south wind
And curtsied up and down.
She turned to the sunlight
And shook her yellow head,
And whispered to her neighbour:
"Winter is dead."

~A.A. Milne

We've been enjoying the daffodils for almost two weeks now. They're always the first herald of spring in our backyard. The children like to pick some to put in a vase in the kitchen, and the rest we leave to enjoy outside.

Also, our Bradford Pear trees are in full bloom. Sweet Pea is really noticing these this year and gets excited whenever we're out and about and she spots one. "Look, Mommy, there's a nudder one bwooming."

And just to keep life interesting, it's supposed to snow tomorrow. :)

  1. We had our first day of really warm weather here today. Oh it felt so good. I pulled out my sandals, flower seeds, and called school off and noon. Ok that last part I probably shouldn't keep up but it does feel so good to be outside after winter.

  2. Sounds like our spring weather - sunny, then snowy, lovely today (72 degrees!) and tomorrow it's supposed to rain and be in the 50's...sheesh.
