Homeschool Memoirs #7: Snack Foods

The theme for this week:

"Awhile back Mother Dear received a question on what snack foods to buy for homeschooling families, on the go or at home, and she inspired this week’s theme. There are so many different kinds of snack foods, store-bought and homemade, and I would like to invite you to share what snack foods your family usually snacks on throughout the week. You’re welcome to make season lists too. I know there are different meals we eat during the colder seasons than we do in the warmer ones, and I imagine there are also seasonal snack foods as well."

Now that flag football season is in full swing for us, this is a very appropriate theme for our family. The girls inevitably get hungry during Superman's practices and games, so I always pack some munchies for them to have. At home we usually have a light afternoon snack after we're finished with school.

Some of our favorites include:
-fruit (any kind)
-crackers
-cheese
-popcorn
-carrot sticks
-natural fruit rollups
-yogurt
-applesauce
-cereal (The kids' favorite for snacking is Cracklin' Oat Bran.)

I'm looking forward to getting some snack inspiration from these posts.
Check them out if you're in a food rut at your house! :)
