Mom's Goals for the 2008-09 School Year

I write out my goals for the children each school year. It's encouraging to look back at these at the end of the year and see how they have grown in so many areas.
So...this year I've decided to put some goals down in writing for their teacher too. :)

1. Smile more.
2. Laugh more.
3. Be willing to make messes more often (more painting and other art projects).
4. Do more tactile stuff for handwriting: tray of rice, shaving cream, play dough, stamp-n-see, chalkboard, tub of beans, etc. (Again, be willing to get messy!)
5. Go to bed early and get up early.
6. Develop a meal plan, shopping schedule, and work the plan!
7. Wash, dry, fold, and put away at least one load of laundry everyday.
8. Spend less time on the computer!
9. Relax and enjoy these precious times. My little ones are growing up so fast, and I want to savor every minute with them.
10. Begin my day by spending time with God.

Have a great weekend!

  1. What wonderful goals!!! I should adopt those as well. Your heart is just where it should be - as is evidenced by your priorities.

I'm thankful for you, your beautiful heart and your words of encouragment!

I hope your upcoming week is filled with all the things that are most important!

  2. I just had to post again and say Yippee!!! I was able to get my comments to post! :-)

  3. I love the design and layout of your blog! It's beautiful and easy to read. I could totally relate to your goals. We are going through a study at church called 40 days of Love. It's all about putting an emphasis on relationship-with God and with others.

I enjoy reading your comments and so appreciate them. It usually takes me a few days to reply, so thanks for your patience and for dropping by!
