So Much to Blog About!

We returned home a week ago from a three-week trip down South to see family and take a little beach vacation. We visited lots of people and places and had a blast. Now we're back home and getting back into the swing of things. I'm busy unpacking, doing laundry, decluttering my house, and preparing for my son's portfolio assessment appointment, which is later on this week - whew!. I've got lots of pictures to post of our trip, which I'll get to ever so gradually, and I haven't forgotten about part two of that planning post. But...in the midst of all the chaos here, I took time to register (and partially attend) the Heart of the Matter online homeschool conference. I am sooo glad that I did. I received some much needed inspiration and encouragement from the speakers and other moms.
Today I have to share with you the blog of one of the conference speakers, DeeDee.
Go there with tissues in hand because her writing is hilarious, and you'll be crying your eyes out or busting a gut with laughter before you're done!
Enjoy!

  1. I noticed the picture of your family on the sidebar and wondered if your daughter is adopted. I ask because I have an adopted niece who I just adore. She is almost 4 and from Guatemala.

  2. Thank you so much for commenting on my post -- for the advice and for letting me know I am not crazy to have some of those concerns (and LOVE that you use that doorknob cover too, ha!) I can use all the help I can get and your post really encouraged me :-)

Also glad to hear that you enjoyed the conference. . . and isn't DeeDee a hoot?

  3. Stacie,
Yes, we adopted Giggly Girl from China four years ago. One of these days I hope to write a post about our adoption story.

    Rachel,
Hope the potty training is going well!
    Blessings,
    Shannon
