It looks like you had a good Father's Day. I completely forgot about Father's day because of all the flooding. We had sent the kids to family because it wasn't a good idea to have them here. We had no gas, which means no hot water, no stove. The was from the sewer...YUCKWe use a virtual school right now and I like it but I want to use the unit studies for the summer to give then a test run. What are some good sites to use. Thanks for the prayers. We need them. Mickemom
Dear Mickemom,My heart goes out to you and your family. I'll continue to pray for you as you deal with the aftermath of the flooding. As far as unit study sites go, I highly encourage you to visit Homeschool Share (www.homeschoolshare.com)You will find a wealth of free unit studies, lapbooking and notebooking materials, and lots of other resources. I also use Five in a Row (FIAR). (www.fiveinarow.com) These are all literature-based unit studies for ages 4-8. They are wonderful (not free though - but I highly recommend them).I think Homeschool Share would be a great starting place for you to give unit studies a test drive. I'll be posting an entry sometime in the next week that compiles a whole bunch of unit study and lapbooking/notebooking sites. Please let me know if you have any other questions.Blessings,Shannon
I enjoy reading your comments and so appreciate them. It usually takes me a few days to reply, so thanks for your patience and for dropping by!
