The Great Outdoors

Today things got off to a rough start. Without naming names let's just say that attitudes weren't the greatest (including mine). After working through several "situations" and getting some schooling under our belts, we went outside to collect some items for our salamander rooms that the kids are making. At this point the above mentioned "attitudes" began to significantly improve, as everyone was enjoying the search for twigs, grass, leaves, rocks, etc. After all of the collecting was done, I decided to plant a few things, and the kids began digging around in the ground with their trowels looking for earthworms and having a ball. After a little while Superman says to me, "Mom, you never know what you're gonna discover in nature." And then, "I love you, Mom."

Amazing what a little fresh air and time spent in God's great creation can do to brighten up a day.
