Grieving and praying tonight...

My heart is breaking tonight for the Chapman family. As many of you probably know by now, Steven Curtis and Mary Beth Chapman lost their youngest daughter, Maria, in a tragic accident yesterday. You can read more about Maria and the Chapman family here.
A special blog for condolences has been set up where people can see a precious video of Maria and her Daddy. The Chapmans are requesting that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Shaohannah's Hope, their foundation which gives financial assistance to families trying to adopt.
Steven wrote the following song many years ago when close friends lost their little girl in a car accident. As the title states, we can have hope when a loved one goes home ahead of us that we will see them again one day. That hope comes only through Jesus Christ.
My mother's heart cannot imagine the pain and grief this family is experiencing. I pray that they will feel God's loving arms around them and that they will know His peace and comfort as they grieve the loss of their precious little Maria Sue.

With Hope - Steven Curtis Chapman

  1. I have felt so sick for them. It's just so unimaginable. But yes, hope in Christ Jesus is what we have to cling to.

An article that Steven and his wife wrote was one of the tools that God used to bring us to China adoption.

I enjoy reading your comments and so appreciate them. It usually takes me a few days to reply, so thanks for your patience and for dropping by!
